WALKING ON SKIATHOS

& Guided Tours

There are many wonderful walks on Skiathos ranging from gentle strolls through leafy, green valleys to quiet beaches on the north side, more strenuous hikes in the hills with beautiful views, or a moonlight walk to watch the full moon come up over Skopelos and reflect across the sea.

There are several maps of Skiathos but, unfortunately, not one of them is completely accurate and many of them do not show the old trails and footpaths.
If you wish to go walking by yourself then we recommend buying two or three maps and consulting them together when reaching decisions about directions.

If you wish to have a guided walk, then contact Lida who knows the island inside out and will also tell you about the country churches you will pass and the customs and traditions of the islanders

She also offers guided tours by mini bus to the monasteries, the village and some of the more special, hard to get to places.
These involve only a little gentle strolling around.

All the guided walks and tours include time for lunch at a traditional taverna and can also include swimming stops at quiet beaches.
