A
typical one
week sailing trip:
Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos and Skantzura Island.
The Sporades are situated in
the north-eastern part of the Aegean Sea. The archipelago consists of
several inhabited and uninhabited islands, the most important being
Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos and Skyros.
Whereas the Meltemi-wind can
make passages between the islands in the Cyclades or Dodecanesis islands
further south very difficult
to impossible for days in a row during the months of July and August, the
reduced wind-force in the Sporades, along with their east-to-west
orientation makes sailing in
this area a real thrill and an unforgettable experience. Furthermore, the
Sporades are real jewels in the Aegean, providing everything the sailing
holiday-maker may expect from his or her trip.
