WALKING ON PELION

& Guided Tours

Villa Horizonte organizes hiking trips in the spring and in the autumn, each for two weeks, or individual walks as required. Both seasons have the advantage of not being too hot or too cold, and still give you the pleasure of swimming and relaxing in the sun. During the day we will be hiking in the northeast parts of the Mount Pelion.

It is a high-forested mountain with beech and wild chestnut trees, which go all the way down to the many picturesque beaches. This mythical nature, "the home of the centaurs", has roots in ancient history.

The northern parts that we will be exploring are still mostly untouched and are inhabited
only by shepherds and charcoal producers. This is where your guide Wolf will take you.
You will find old stone bridges, fresh water springs, streams and waterfalls, small
churches, old monasteries with valuable wall paintings and desolate villages.

Wolf is an experienced hiking leader, well acquainted with this area and its inhabitants.
He loves telling you stories about mythical figures of the past in this area. We will also visit museums and sites of historical value in the area.

Our day hikes will last 3-8 hours. Bring hiking shoes or sturdy sport shoes, a small rucksack, a pair of long trousers and a hat. Together with your
swimming equipment also bring rain protection.

Ingrid and Wolf will also arrange personal guided tours to the best beaches, villages, archeological sites and other special places in Pelion.

Please use our Booking Form to indicate your preference or
